Spending 18 years in local sawmill life and industry changes and the transition sometimes can be challenging but hobbies and creativity can help you thought it. One day at the mill during clean up I picked up a piece of wood off the ground and seen something about it that triggered a response and the next I knew a face was coming out of the piece. Since that day about 10 years ago hundreds of faces have appeared not just out of mill trim ends but drift wood, fruit woods, wood bark, hockey pucks bowling pins baseball bats and the list goes on. The creativity has responded, I think from each individual piece, the untold story of its origin revealed from its face.
