Vehicles present a special challenge to the recycling industry. Their many parts, fluids, metals and acids must all be carefully seperated and transported to recycling depots or crushed and melted down.

| The CWR specializes in pre-1980 vehicles and also has a sharp eye for classics and muscle cars. The yard offers shopping for vintage car clubs and collectors. The more mechanized aspect of this business is "crushing", a dreadful noise, but environmentally friendly. The wrecks are reduced to pancakes, shipped for a melting down process, and exported where the metal is recycled. Aluminum and copper are seperated - radiators and batteries and used fluids are also recycled, tires are stacked awaiting use by "Earth-Ship" home builders or a new fuel process at the Coast. | |

A unique feature is the size of the product. Stands are welded together and each vehicle sits in its designated area, ready for hauling. Gravel based, the land accommodates different types of vehicles in their own designated area. Discarded vehicles, forgotten projects, accident victims all form parts of a recycling yard. Cherry Wreckers Recyclers' involvement places all of these unwanted or unused vehicles in one alloted area where they can be safely disposed of.
