The Monashee Community Network (MCN) "Keepers of the Stories" Project was established through a B.C. Provincial grant under the Communities Connect Program, and administered by the Library Services Branch of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing .

Objectives
Through the "Keepers" project, the MCN facilitates the opportunity for local families and groups to access the world wide web, encouraging the collection, sharing and maintenance of their unique "stories" to connect past, present and future history. It is the goal of the project to create a "living history" which will be valued and enjoyed for many generations, while currently providing a "snapshot" of the community to the world through the Internet.
