Mission Statement The purpose of Monashee Economic Development Adivisory Council is to incourage responsible economic development by providing enhanced opportunities through communication, cooperation, and coordination. Goals To achieve this objective, Monashee Economic Development Advisory Council will: - Continue to develop the long-term economic development action plan for our region - Promote diversification of the existing forestry and agriculture sectors and the growth of new enterprises in value-added manufacturing, tourism, retail businesses, services, and in the arts and culture. - Support economic development initiatives that will create high-quality products, services, and provide our citizens with well-paid meaningful work that contributes to the economic and social health of our community. - Encourage initiative that will restore, protect, and enhance our natural environment so that economic development is sustainable. - Foster the growth of individual skills, community institutions, and government and business infrastructure that will support the objectives outlined above. |
