| Hi My Name Is Mike Cripps, I am from a small Village in the Province of British Columbia my story about the Widdles creations . Spending 18 years in local sawmill life sometimes can be challenging but hobbies and creativity can help you through it .One day at the mill during clean up I picked up a piece of wood off the ground, well I guess that was part of my job, seen something about it that triggered a response and the next I knew a face was coming out of the piece. Since that day about 17 years ago, hundreds of faces have appeared not just out of mill trim ends but drift wood ,fruit woods, wood bark, hockey pucks bowling pins baseball bats and the list goes on. The piece comes alive , the untold story of its origin revealed from its facial expressions. I have this feeling of creation after creating the widdles, life brought back to the object so it can continue telling its story. I hope you enjoy the collection and enjoy the graphics I create to help display them have a great day. |
